Now: What I'm Working On
Here's what I'm focused on right now. This is a now page.
Updated in October 2026.
The Bear Cave
Hunterbrook Media has acquired The Bear Cave, the investigative newsletter on corporate misconduct that I founded in 2020. I’m the exited founder. I no longer write it, and a team at Hunterbrook Media now writes it entirely.
What I'm Building
I’m building Bullpen, Sunday’s Idea Brunch and Stock Promotion Tracker.
I recently spoke with Bryan Wagman from The Stock Thoughts about distribution, persistence, and my recent focus on prediction markets. We covered how brute-force distribution still works and why persistence compounds in ways most people underestimate. I also sat down with Swen Lorenz for a deeper conversation on the business side of what I do, the products I've launched, and how I'm using AI to automate parts of StockPromotionTracker.com.
Personal Growth & Daily Habits
My goals these days are mostly personal: staying in great shape, doing meaningful work, and having fun.
I walk about 15,000 steps every day, which helps clear my mind and gives me space to think through investigations.
Walking has become such a big part of my creative process that I consider it essential to my job. I'm also working on maintaining balance in a field where the lines between "research" and "hobby" tend to blur.
Looking Ahead
I originally started The Bear Cave to get noticed by hedge funds. Many of those same hedge fund managers became paid subscribers.
I'm also expanding the toolkit I offer investors. I published a 50 best Twitter/X accounts to follow for investing in 2026, and I continue to build out resources like FOIAsearch.com, CommentLetterSearch.com, and 8Ksearch.com.
Corporate wrongdoers should know. I'm still watching.
